I got to see Carrie Fisher in Oct 2005.
On January 30, I got to meet Yvonne Craig (AKA Batgirl).
I got my Batgirl glass signed by her. I told her that I had been a fan since I was five years old. I also told her that my daughter was thrilled to find out that I was going to meet Olivia's Grandmother (from the TV cartoon show Olivia) and she was excited to hear about that.
She did a Q&A that afternoon and Kathy (A friend of ours and one of the people in charge. She is also a friend of Yvonne Craig since high school) asked me if I asked the question that she told me to ask about a week before. When I told her no she told me to get up there and ask her.
Me: "So I was wondering...How is Dexter doing?" (Dexter is her dog)
Now I didn't expect this response:
Yvonne: "You must be Bridget! I was told you were going to ask this question"
Holy Crap Batman! Batgirl knows my name!
That made my day.
Just found out that Carrie Fisher will be at Dallas Comic Con on May 21-22!
